About the selections:
1. Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy: an Impressionist masterpiece, this makes a lovely prélude (as guests are being seated).
2. True Love's Vow, an original composition by Stephanie Bennett, is a love theme from an imaginary movie: inspiring and achingly romantic.
3. Romanze from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, by Mozart, is a favorite for an 'honor seating' of the parents before the ceremony. It is also lovely as a prélude, or for the entrance of the bridal party.
4. Pachelbel's Canon in D is wonderful for the entrance of the bridal party - serene, graceful and uplifting: building in an inspiring crescendo to lead into the entrance of the bride.
5. Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin by Wagner (better known as "Here Comes the Bride") is the music that generations of brides have dreamed of hearing as they walk down the aisle.
6. Wedding March, from a Midsummer Nights Dream by Mendelssohn, is the familiar "Recessional" music signaling the end of the ceremony, as the happy bride and groom are pronounced husband-and-wife wife and turn to accept the applause of their guests.
7. Alla Hornpipe, from the Water Music by Handel, is another upbeat and joyous selection, which may be substituted for the traditional Recessional, or is also a lovely postlude, to be played right after the Recessional.
